If the game locked up on me everytime I tried to load it up I'd be pissed too. Good thing I bought both versions. I can play the 360 without signing off online first... Too bad the PS3 version was a waste so far because I only got it to play online with my PSN friends...

I have both versions. The 360 version has locked up ZERO times. Tried to get on the PS3 last night to play with 3 of my PS3 only friends and ALL THREE OF US LOCKED UP ON THE FIRST LOAD SCREEN over and over and over.
I'm not saying the 360 version has no problems but trying to say their the same is beyond stupid.

I really believe MS will not and cannot repeat the drop of the original xbox. I think they'll try hard to go against that. Look at a lot of these planned trilogy games like Mass Effect and Too Human supposedly all of those games will be on 360. That’s years ...
Then the PS3 will be holding back the 720. Its what happens when all the systems aren't lined up coming out at the same time. Same thing with PS2 holding back the original Xbox due to its market share.

You realize what it takes to change F'ing resolution in a game engine?! Its not something you do crappy for the beta to "make things simple" then up it later for release. All of the textures are built and designed based on the native resolution.

The points you listed pretty much sum up why having both consoles is the only option. At this point PSN doesn't live up to XBL. When and if it finally does the XBL cost will become a major issue but right now paying $1 a week is worth the functionality.
That being said there are great AAA exclusive games on both consoles that I don't want to miss. While I think both consoles have significant problems they are both worth owning for the things they do correctly.

Bluray has done NOTHING so far for PS3 games. MGS4 was supposed to show the full power of Bluray and yet the game is STILL extremely short.

The creator is disappointed in the single player... LBP will probably be delayed to 09. GT5P is a demo that takes an hour and half to install and update... Rockstar shouldn't have to test their software on 5 different versions of hardware. The whole point of the console industry is that all consoles run the software the same. If Sony wasn't in such a rush to rip compoenents out of the console there wouldn't be a problem.
